Description
12 superbly illustrated articles covering a variety of aviation stories from Inter-War biplanes to early jets - also including a Battle of Britain special.
Highlights for me are the photo gallery of glorious Handley Page Heyford and our pair of articles on early jet engines and the RAF evaluation of them. This volume's aviation art interview is with my old friend Piotr Forkasiewicz, who is probably the best digital aviation artist in the world. He is one of the few digital artists who puts the soul of a painter into his work and the results are quite breathtaking.
The final third of this volume is our Battle of Britain 'Special' featuring some lesser known stories from the summer of 1940 including the rarely covered subject of 'friendly fire' incidents.
