Welcome to the second Compendium edition of Wingleader Magazine. With these latest three digital issues, we have continued to experiment with content, the most noticeable of which was making Issue 5 a Dambuster 'Special'. Reaction was very positive so we may explore the idea of introducing more 'Specials' in the future.
In this volume we have another fascinating aviation art interview, this time with one of my art heroes, James Dietz. 'Finding Paddy's Hurricane' covers the recent excavation of an 85 Squadron Battle of Britain Hurricane, almost certainly one of the last to be dug in the UK, and 'The Tiffy Boys' is a timely tribute to the Typhoon pilots who did so much to help the troops establish a foothold in France after D-Day.
