Description
Norm Taylor is one of the nation's preeminent aviation photographers and historians. Norm began photographing aircraft in 1953 at Shaw AFB, S.C. He served in the USAF for 23 years, which included a tour at Phu Cat AB, Vietnam, from July 1970 to Aug 1971. This tour included 116 hour+ sorties on EC-47Ns & Ps over Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Enemy ground fire was encountered on many of these missions. Norm took advantage of the many opportunities to photograph military and civil aviation throughout his tour. He maintains a sizable collection of slides/photos in his workshop that features a working darkroom, even in the digital age of photography.
Lou Drendel is a world renowned artist. His paintings have appeared in many Time-Life Publications, Berkley Books, and the American Aviation Historical Society. Warbirds Magazine, and in several authored on military aviation books and for ARCO Publications and can be seen at www.aviation-art.net.
