" It is a great honour for me to be able to welcome the International Airshow to the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Belgian Airforce, to our base Sint-Truiden.
We have attempted to present to you, either static or in flight, practically all aircrafts that have ever been part of our fleet, to allow you to experience these past 50 years all over again.
You will soon notice that our Air Force has evolved into a very efficient and modern force, that can cope perfectly with her diverse missions, in the frame of the new geo-political situation.
The spectacular program, with the cooperation of the different teams, proves the interest our allies and neighbouring countries show in our Air Force and her fifty-year-old existence... "
