Description
La maquette représente le Ryan NYP « Spirit of St. Louis », reconnaissable aux marquages N-X-211 et Ryan NYP visibles sur l’empennage, ainsi qu’à l’inscription Spirit of St. Louis sur le capot moteur.
L’avion réel est celui piloté par Charles Lindbergh lors de la première traversée de l’Atlantique en solitaire et sans escale, les 20–21 mai 1927, pour remporter le prix Orteig. Il s’agissait d’un monoplane haut sur aile, construit spécialement par Ryan Airlines à San Diego.
Maquette décorative en tôle/fil métallique peints, hélice aspect bois, teinte générale vert d’eau avec capot gris aluminium et patine d’atelier.

Het model stelt de Ryan NYP « Spirit of St. Louis » voor, herkenbaar aan de markeringen N-X-211 en Ryan NYP op het staartvlak en de opschrift Spirit of St. Louis op de motorkap. Het echte toestel werd door Charles Lindbergh gevlogen tijdens de eerste solosuccessvolle non-stopvlucht over de Atlantische Oceaan op 20–21 mei 1927, waarmee hij de Orteig-prijs won. Het was een speciaal gebouwd hoogdekker-monoplaan van Ryan Airlines in San Diego.
Decoratief model in gelakt plaatmetaal/draad, propeller met houtlook, overwegend mintgroen met aluminium grijze motorkap en lichte verouderingssporen.

The model depicts the Ryan NYP “Spirit of St. Louis,” identifiable by tail markings N-X-211 and Ryan NYP and the Spirit of St. Louis stencil on the engine cowl. The real aircraft was flown by Charles Lindbergh on the first solo nonstop transatlantic flight, 20–21 May 1927, winning the Orteig Prize; it was a custom high-wing monoplane built by Ryan Airlines in San Diego.
