Description
The Fw 190A-2 was an early production model of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 series, introduced in 1941. Powered by the BMW 801C-2 radial engine, it offered excellent speed, durability, and agility, quickly earning a reputation as a superior dogfighter. The A-2 improved upon the A-1 by replacing some of its machine guns with 20 mm MG 151 cannons, increasing its firepower. It was used primarily on the Western Front and proved highly effective against RAF fighters. The Fw 190A-2 marked the beginning of the type’s dominance in Luftwaffe service.
