Description
Engine with intercooler radiator as in Mk.III. Tropical filter as fitted to many Mk.VCs based in Malta. This variant of the famous Spitfire was flown by many RAF aces as well as by pilots of other Allied air forces. The kit comes with decals for four different aircraft: JK707, flown by Sqn. Ldr. R.J. Cork, CO of No. 43 Sqn RAF, Tunisia, early 1943; EP829, flown by F/O J.E. Storrar of No. 243 Sqn RAF, Tunisia, April 1943; BR579, flown by F/O D.E. Gillam of No. 185 Sqn RAF, Malta, July 1942; and ER824, flown by Capt. G. Berges of GC II/7 "Nice", Bone/Annaba, Algeria, June 1944.
