Description
A Spitfire Mk.I was a marvel of aviation technology when it first appeared in 1936. Powered by the famous Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, it was a masterpiece of aerodynamic design. The Mk.I featured a top speed of 362mph, and its eight 7.7mm machine guns gave it tremendous firepower. By July 1940, more than 1,500 Spitfires were on the front line, playing a decisive role in the Battle of Britain. This superbly detailed 1/48 scale model faithfully captures every aspect of this historic aircraft.
