Description
The Su-7BKL is a single-seat/single-engine all-metal jet-propulsion aircraft with delta wing and floating tail surface. The fuselage is of circular cross section and of semi-monocoque design where the area rule has been applied. The adjustable cone controls the air inlet to the engine while guarding the radar antennae. The upper portion of fuselage in front of the cockpit contains the radio-electronics aids. The air-conditioned and pressurized cockpit is equipped with the Type KS-4 Ejection Seat, the zero-zero parameters of which are zero-zero. The cockpit has a breakable backwards) has a teardrop-like canopy enabling to watch the rear hemisphere. The aircraft fuselage also contains the shaft of landing device, the fuel tanks, the electronical, hydraulic and fire-extinguishing devices, respectively, as well as the Type AL-7F-1 Jet-Propulsion Engine the maximum thrust of which is 96.1 kN including the tailpipe burning.
