Description
Flying Mk Vs out of Malta, a shortage of all fuel, including consumables for the service industry, limited airframe modification when compared to the Middle East Spitfires deployed in North Africa. Per Aspera literally means through hardships. This Limited Edition Dual Combo kit gives you the chance to build two Spitfire Mk Vc models in 1/48 scale. They are armed with two Hispano 20mm cannons and four .303 Browning machine guns each. One aircraft can be built as a tropical filter Spitfire Mk Vc to represent machines of the Malta to North Africa theatre. The aircraft included depict machines operating from Malta and Egypt in summer and autumn 1942. Flying from both areas, the Spitfires were challenged by fighter aircraft of the Regia Aeronautica and Luftwaffe. Aircraft from both theatres are depicted in the kit. The kit contains two complete model kits with photo-etched details parts, masks, painting masks and 3D decal accessories. This Dual Combo 1/48 is a special edition kit which consists of two separate models.
