MAKE: Sopwith 2F.1 Camel. ROLE: Single-seat fighter. POWERED BY: One 150 h.p. Bentley rotary engine. PERFORMANCE: Maximum speed 124 m.p.h. at 6,500 ft.; service ceiling 17,300ft; endurance 2½ hours. DIMENSIONS: Wing span 26ft 11in, length 18ft 8in, height 8ft 6in. ARMAMENT: One Vickers gun above cowling and a Lewis gun on wing centre section. REMARKS: The 2F.1 Camel was used by the Royal Naval Air Service during World War One and other versions flew with the Royal Flying Corps.
