Description
The SF-260 is an Italian light aircraft designed by Stelio Frati and first flown in 1964. Initially built by Aviamilano and later by SIAI Marchetti, it was marketed as both a military trainer and light combat aircraft. The Italian Air Force evaluated it as the M-601, leading to the military SF-260M version with revised cockpit layout and underwing hardpoints. Over 880 were built by 2004, used by many smaller air forces for training, liaison, and light attack roles. The Warrior variant features six hardpoints carrying up to 640 kg of weapons.
