Description
The MiG-23ML Flogger-G was an improved lightweight development of the MiG-23 series, introduced in the mid-1970s. Featuring a strengthened yet lighter airframe and a more powerful Tumansky R-35 turbojet, it offered better acceleration, climb, and agility than earlier variants. Its variable-geometry wings allowed efficient high-speed interception and improved low-speed handling. Equipped with Sapfir radar and capable of carrying R-23 and R-60 air-to-air missiles, the MiG-23ML served as a front-line interceptor and tactical fighter with Soviet and export air forces during the Cold War.
