Description
The North American F-86F-40 Sabre was the definitive day fighter of its era, with its classic swept wing design and superb handling characteristics. Initially employed as a high-altitude bomber escort during the Korean War, the Sabre soon found itself entering into air-to-air combat with the MiG-15. The Sabre proved to be a match for its Soviet counterpart and it was in this conflict that the aircraft earned its reputation.
