Description
The Morane-Saulnier MS.230 and its variant the C.23 were widely used French primary trainers during the interwar period and early World War II. Known for their stability forgiving flight characteristics and durable parasol-wing design they served as the backbone of pilot instruction for the French Air Force. Powered by reliable radial engines and built with a robust metal-and-fabric structure the MS.230 series provided excellent low-speed handling and predictable stall behavior ideal for new pilots. Though obsolete for combat roles by the late 1930s the aircraft continued to train thousands of aviators and remained in service with several nations. Its simplicity ruggedness and charm made it one of the most recognizable training aircraft of its era.
