Description
The MiG-29AS is an upgraded version of the Soviet-designed MiG-29 Fulcrum fighter, modernized to extend its service life and improve combat performance. It retains the original twin-engine, twin-tail design but features enhanced avionics, navigation, and communication systems, as well as compatibility with modern air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons. The aircraft is capable of high maneuverability in dogfights and performs interception, air policing, and training missions. Upgrades also improve reliability, maintainability, and interoperability with NATO standards, allowing older MiG-29 airframes to remain effective in contemporary air defense roles.
