The Mikoyan MiG-29AS (NATO reporting name: "Fulcrum") is a heavily upgraded variant of the Soviet-designed twin-engine air superiority fighter, specifically modernized for the Slovak Air Force to meet NATO interoperability standards.
Following Slovakia's entry into NATO, their fleet of MiG-29s underwent modernization programs (carried out in cooperation with Russian and Western contractors) to update their avionics, navigation systems, and communications suite.
