Description
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-2 was one of the early production variants of Germany’s legendary WWII fighter. Introduced in 1941, it was powered by the BMW 801C-2 radial engine, delivering around 1,600 horsepower, giving it excellent speed, climb rate, and ruggedness. The A-2 featured improved engine cooling and was armed with two 7.92 mm MG 17 machine guns above the engine and two 20 mm MG FF/M cannons in the wings. Its powerful armament, speed, and agility made it a formidable opponent against Allied fighters. The Fw 190 A-2 built on the strong foundation of the A-1 and helped establish the aircraft's fearsome reputation, especially on the Western Front.
