Description
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 J-2 “Müllepüx” is a special variant based on the standard Bf 109G-6, one of the most widely produced German fighter aircraft of World War II. Developed in 1943, the G-6 airframe was powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 605A engine and featured the characteristic “Beule” bulges on the engine cowling to accommodate its heavy machine gun armament.
Like other G-6 versions, it carried two MG 131 13 mm machine guns above the engine and a 20 mm MG 151 cannon firing through the propeller hub, giving it strong firepower for both air combat and ground attack missions. The J-2 “Müllepüx” designation likely refers to a specific kit or fictionalized sub-variant rather than an official Luftwaffe production model, but it follows the typical G-6 configuration in structure and performance.
The Bf 109G-6 served on all major fronts of the war, from the Eastern Front to the defense of Germany, and remained a key Luftwaffe fighter despite increasing Allied air superiority.
