Original Hasegawa 1/48 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109E "Adolf Galland" plastic model kit.

This edition reproduces the famous Bf 109E-4/N flown by Luftwaffe ace Adolf Galland during the Battle of Britain, complete with his iconic Mickey Mouse emblem and authentic markings. The kit includes finely moulded plastic parts, clear canopy, decals and assembly instructions. Hasegawa's Galland editions are appreciated for their accuracy and quality.

The contents remain factory sealed in their original bags, complete and unbuilt. 

Adolf Galland (19 March 1912 – 9 February 1996) was one of Germany's most famous fighter aces of World War II.

From an early age he built model aircraft and learned to fly gliders before joining the secret Luftwaffe in 1933, where he completed his flight training in Italy. He later volunteered for the Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War, flying around 350 combat missions.

World War II

After returning to Germany in 1939, Galland flew combat missions during the campaigns in Poland, France and the Battle of Britain. During the latter he adopted his famous Mickey Mouse emblem, painted on the side of his Messerschmitt Bf 109.

Galland became one of the Luftwaffe's leading fighter commanders and was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords and Diamonds, one of Germany's highest military decorations. He later commanded Germany's fighter forces and openly advocated improvements in aircraft and pilot equipment.

Because of disagreements with Hitler and the Luftwaffe leadership, Galland was relieved of his command in 1945. He then formed Jagdverband 44 (JV 44), an elite unit flying the revolutionary Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighter.

At the end of the war he was credited with 104 aerial victories, including 47 Spitfires and 30 Hurricanes.
