Description
The Kawasaki Ki-45 Kai Toryu was a twin-engine heavy fighter used by the Imperial Japanese Army during WWII. Designed for long-range missions, it was later adapted as a night fighter and bomber interceptor. Armed with cannon and machine guns, some versions featured upward-firing Schräge Musik-style armament. The Ki-45 saw action in China, the Pacific, and in defense of the Japanese homeland, proving effective against bombers despite growing Allied air superiority.
