Description
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-7 was an important mid-war variant of the German Fw 190 fighter, introduced in 1943. Powered by a BMW 801 D-2 radial engine, it combined excellent speed, maneuverability, and firepower, with a typical armament of two 13mm machine guns and four 20mm cannons. The A-7 featured improved aerodynamics and cooling compared to earlier models, making it effective in both air superiority and ground attack roles. It saw extensive combat on the Eastern and Western Fronts and was praised for its ruggedness and versatility during WWII.
