Description
The Fw 190F-8 was a ground-attack variant of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter, introduced in 1944. Based on the robust A-8 model, it was modified for close air support with reinforced armor, a bomb rack under the fuselage, and optional wing-mounted ordnance. Powered by a BMW 801 radial engine, it retained good speed and maneuverability while delivering heavy payloads. The F-8 saw extensive use on the Eastern and Western Fronts, supporting German ground forces. Its toughness and firepower made it a formidable fighter-bomber in the late stages of World War II.
