Description
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-10 was a late-war development of Germany’s formidable Fw 190 series, designed to restore high-altitude performance against Allied bombers and fighters. Powered by the liquid-cooled Junkers Jumo 213 engine, it featured a lengthened nose and refined aerodynamics that earned it the nickname “Dora.” The D-10 variant was intended to carry heavy armament, typically 20 mm cannon, and improved avionics for interception duties. Though produced in limited numbers near the war’s end, it combined speed, climb rate, and firepower, representing one of the Luftwaffe’s most capable piston-engine fighters.
