Description
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-6 was developed in 1943 as an improved version of the Fw 190 series. Powered by the BMW 801 D-2 engine, it featured upgraded armament including two MG 151 cannons and two MG 131 machine guns. The prototype successfully passed flight tests, and in July 1943, four fighter wings received 18 A-6 aircraft. Initial production was handled by BMW in Eisenach, with additional manufacturing taking place in several other plants, including in occupied France. Dimensions: wingspan 10.51 m, length 9.1 m, height 3.95 m.
