Description
The EA-6B was the most capable and potent tactical jamming aircraft ever built from the A-6 Intruder airframe. This electronic warfare version of the Intruder was designed for deep penetration into contested airspace to jam enemy radars and collect electronic intelligence. The EA-6B Prowler began service with the U.S. Navy in 1971 and continued to serve until 2015. The EA-6B played a crucial role in numerous conflicts, including the Vietnam War, Operation Desert Storm, and the Global War on Terror. Throughout its service, the EA-6B underwent several upgrades to improve its electronic warfare capabilities and maintain its effectiveness against evolving threats.
