Description
The Bristol Beaufighter was a British long-range heavy fighter developed during WWII. Featuring a large airframe and powerful engines, the Beaufighter was utilized as both a fighter and in anti-shipping roles. The Mk.VI variant, introduced in 1942, was designed as a dedicated night fighter and equipped with radar. Its four 20mm cannons and six 7.7mm machine guns gave it tremendous firepower. The aircraft's Hercules engines were fitted with exhaust flame dampers to improve stealth during night operations. With its advanced AI Mk.VIII radar system, the Beaufighter Mk.VI proved highly effective at intercepting German bombers in the dark skies over England.
