Description
The Bloch MB.152 was a French all-metal, low-wing fighter developed from the underperforming MB.150 prototype, first flown in 1936. Despite early shortcomings, development continued through the MB.151, which entered limited production but failed to meet expectations. Improvements led to the MB.152, test flown on December 15, 1938, featuring a more powerful 1,080 hp Gnome-Rhône 14N-25 engine. It became the main production variant. A further refined version, the MB.155, offered better speed, range, and handling. By the German invasion in 1940, around 140 MB.151s, 363 MB.152s, and 30 MB.155s had been delivered to eight French Air Force squadrons, including one naval unit.
