Description
The Bf 110G-2 was a late-war variant of Germany's twin-engine heavy fighter, optimized for long-range missions and bomber interception. Equipped with more powerful DB 605B engines, it offered improved performance over earlier models. Armament typically included two 30 mm MK 108 cannons, two 20 mm MG 151s, and two 7.92 mm MG 17s, with additional underfuselage gun pods or bombs depending on the role. Though less agile than single-engine fighters, it excelled in firepower and range. The G-2 saw service with Zerstörer and night fighter units, and was often used in defense of the Reich, targeting Allied bomber formations during daylight raids.
