Description
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G "Gustav" was a key variant of Germany’s iconic WWII fighter. Introduced in 1942, it featured a more powerful Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine, improved armament, and better high-altitude performance than earlier models. The G-series included many sub-variants tailored for specific roles, from bomber interception to reconnaissance. Though heavier and more difficult to handle, its speed and climb rate made it a formidable opponent. Over 30,000 Bf 109s were built, making it one of the most produced fighter aircraft in history.
