Description
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G-10 WNF was a late-war variant of the iconic German fighter, produced by Wiener Neustädter Flugzeugwerke (WNF). Introduced in 1944, it featured the high-performance DB 605D engine with a larger supercharger for improved speed and high-altitude performance. The G-10 had a streamlined engine cowling, refined aerodynamics, and was typically equipped with a 20mm MG 151/20 cannon and two 13mm MG 131 machine guns. Despite being a retrofit of older airframes, it was among the fastest 109s, capable of speeds over 690 km/h. The WNF-built versions had subtle differences in canopy and finish. It served mainly as an interceptor during the final stages of WWII.
