Description
The B-25 Mitchell is a twin-engine medium bomber used by the U.S. and Allied forces during World War II. First flown in 1940, it gained fame in the 1942 Doolittle Raid, the first U.S. air strike on Japan. Powered by two Wright R-2600 engines, the B-25 had a top speed of around 275 mph and a range of 1,350 miles. It carried up to 3,000 pounds of bombs and featured multiple machine guns for defense. Versatile and reliable, it served in bombing, ground attack, and anti-shipping roles across every theater of the war.
