Vintage handcrafted pewter model of the British Gloster Meteor T.7, the two-seat training version of the world's first operational Allied jet fighter. Carefully cast in solid pewter with a satin finish and mounted on a polished black stone base. Produced in a small series, probably in Europe, circa 1955–1970.

Antiek handgemaakt model van de Gloster Meteor T.7, de tweezits opleidingsversie van de eerste operationele geallieerde straaljager. Gegoten in massief tin met een satijn glans en geplaatst op een zwart natuurstenen voetstuk. Kleine ambachtelijke productie, vermoedelijk Europa, ca. 1955–1970.
The Gloster Meteor entered Royal Air Force service in 1944 and became the first operational British jet fighter. The Meteor T.7 was introduced as a two-seat trainer and remained in service for many years to train jet pilots in Britain and numerous allied air forces. Its distinctive twin-engine layout and robust design made it one of the most successful training aircraft of the early jet era.
Le Gloster Meteor fut le premier avion de chasse à réaction britannique mis en service opérationnel par la Royal Air Force en 1944. La version Meteor T.7, dotée d'un cockpit biplace, fut développée pour la formation des pilotes de jets et servit durant de nombreuses années au Royaume-Uni ainsi qu'au sein de plusieurs forces aériennes alliées. Sa silhouette caractéristique à deux réacteurs en fait l'un des avions emblématiques des débuts de l'aviation à réaction.
