À PROPOS DE CET AUTEUR
Duncan Kyle

John Franklin Broxholme ( June 11th, 1930 - June 24th, 2000 ), aka James Meldrum, was born in Bradford ( West Yorkshire, England ). After his studies in Bradford, at the age of 16, he then started as a reporter in a local newspaper.

Years later, John F. Broxholme joined the British Army's Intelligence Service where he worked for two years. He then returned to civilian life and his work as a journalist.

In 1970, using the pen name of Duncan Kyle, he published his first novel entitled A Cage of Ice. Reminiscent of the work of Desmond Bagley ( 1923 - 1983 ), Duncan Kyle's books typically involve a tough, resourceful individual who unexpectedly becomes involved in danger and intrigue in an exotic setting. His novels are, like those of Desmond Bagley and Alistair MacLean ( 1922 - 1987 ), stronger on plot and setting than on characterization.

Here are some of John F. Broxholme's novels : The Suvarov Adventure ( as Duncan Kyle, 1973 ), The Semonov Impulse ( as James Meldrum, 1975 ), Green River High ( as Duncan Kyle, 1979 ), The Dancing Men ( as Duncan Kyle, 1985 ), Exit ( as Duncan Kyle, 1993 ).
