The Ilyushin IL-62 was a long-range narrow-body airliner designed by the Soviet Union in the 1960s. The IL-62 served as the flagship of many Soviet and Eastern Bloc airlines for decades, capable of intercontinental flights. This particular aircraft, registration UK-86573, operated for Uzbekistan Airways following the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
