Description

Up for consideration is a highly detailed, out-of-production 1:144 scale die-cast military replica of the legendary Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress four-engine heavy strategic bomber. Originally manufactured by IXO / Atlas Editions, this specific model honors the highly decorated aircraft "Memphis Belle" (Serial No. 124485), famously known as one of the very first heavy USAAF bombers to safely complete 25 combat missions over occupied Europe in 1943. [1, 2, 3, 4]
The piece beautifully displays the Olive Drab camouflage pattern upper body paired with a Neutral Grey underside, typical of early European Theater deployment. [1]
Graphic & Tampo Highlights:
  • Nose Art: Accurately scaled and printed dual-sided "Memphis Belle" pin-up graphics alongside individual bomb silhouette mission markers.
  • Squadron Codes: Crisp factory pad-printed high-contrast white "DF" squadron identification codes and yellow "A" radio identifiers.
  • Tail Fin: High-visibility yellow serial number blocks printed directly across the vertical stabilizer structure. [1, 2]
