This Herpa Wings 1:500 scale diecast model represents a Saudi Arabian Airlines Lockheed L-100-30 Hercules transport aircraft. The model features the distinctive Saudi Arabian livery with a sand/beige upper fuselage, white lower fuselage and wings, and a dark blue tail adorned with the national emblem featuring a palm tree and crossed swords in gold. The model includes finely detailed four-blade propellers in tan/gold color, printed registration markings, and authentic airline titling in both Arabic and English. This limited edition collectible (item 510844) captures the unique configuration of this civilian variant Hercules in Saudi service.The Lockheed L-100-30 is the stretched civilian variant of the legendary C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft. With a length of 34.37 meters (112 ft 9 in), wingspan of 40.41 meters (132 ft 7 in), and height of 11.66 meters (38 ft 3 in), the L-100-30 features a 15-foot fuselage stretch compared to the basic L-100, providing increased cargo capacity. Powered by four Allison turboprop engines, this workhorse aircraft has been used for cargo operations, humanitarian missions, and support services across the Middle East. Saudi Arabian Airlines operated these aircraft for freight and special transport duties, complementing their passenger fleet.
