Description
This vintage die-cast model represents the Boeing 727-30 registered OO-STB, one of the early trijets operated by SABENA during the expansion of European jet travel. Finished in the airline’s elegant blue-and-white livery with Belgian flag markings, the model captures the distinctive lines of Boeing’s iconic three-engine airliner.
The Boeing 727 became one of the most successful commercial aircraft of its era, combining excellent runway performance with passenger comfort and operational flexibility. SABENA introduced the type in the mid-1960s as part of its modernization program, using it extensively on European and Mediterranean routes.
The model features a metal fuselage, detailed landing gear, registration OO-STB, and the characteristic T-tail configuration of the Boeing 727. The underside includes a circular mounting point intended for a display stand, although no stand accompanies this example.
