The McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 was a long-range wide-body tri-jet airliner that served as a workhorse for many international carriers from the 1970s through the 2000s. The DC-10-30 variant featured extended range capabilities and more powerful engines compared to earlier versions, making it ideal for intercontinental routes. The real aircraft measures 55.35 meters in length with a wingspan of 50.40 meters and a height of 17.55 meters. Lufthansa operated the DC-10-30 extensively on transatlantic and Asian routes, and the type became synonymous with the airline's long-haul operations during the era.
