This exceptional Herpa 1:500 die-cast model reproduces the Airbus A300-600ST Beluga in its highly sought-after Christmas 2002 Special Edition livery, carrying the unique registration D-XMAS. Finished in an elegant metallic midnight-blue scheme, the aircraft is decorated with festive "Merry Christmas" greetings in numerous languages across the fuselage, while the vertical stabilizer features a beautiful constellation of golden stars.
Produced as a strictly limited edition of only 500 individually numbered pieces worldwide, this example is number 0378. It is supplied in its original presentation box and remains a remarkable collector's item, combining Herpa's renowned precision with outstanding printing quality and authentic detailing. Today, this special edition is considered one of the most distinctive Beluga models ever released by Herpa.
The Airbus A300-600ST Beluga is one of the world's most recognizable cargo aircraft. Developed from the Airbus A300-600, it was specially designed to transport oversized aircraft components between Airbus manufacturing facilities throughout Europe. Its enlarged upper fuselage, inspired by the shape of the beluga whale, provides an exceptionally spacious cargo hold capable of carrying complete aircraft sections. Entering service in 1995, the Beluga became an indispensable part of Airbus's industrial logistics network until it was progressively replaced by the BelugaXL fleet.
