Description
About this issue
This book is the illustrated history of the aircraft of the successful Polish bomber squadron that flew for the RAF during WW2. No. 305 “Wielkopolski” Squadron was a Polish bomber unit which initially operated as a night bomber squadron, converted to daylight operations in 1943, and ended the war as a low-level specialist bomber squadron.
The work traces both the history of the squadron and that of the aircraft it operated, including the Vickers Wellington, B-25 Mitchell, and De Havilland Mosquito. It also details the squadron’s markings and camouflage changes throughout the war.
These aspects are illustrated with many previously unpublished photographs and newly commissioned colour profiles. Aircraft used by the squadron include the Fairey Battle, Vickers Wellington, B-25 Mitchell, and D.H.98 Mosquito.
