Edwin John Knapp Ph.D. ( 1899 - ? ) was professor of mathematics and physics at the College of Mines and Metallurgy of the University of Texas ( T.C.M., present - day The University of Texas, U.T.E.P., El Paso ). 


He was the author of the two following books : A spectrophotometric study of the polarization of light by gratings ( 1921 ) and The thermal conductivity of bismuth in transverse magnetic fields, at low temperatures ( 1930 ).
