Description

A Detailed Guide to the 'Eyes Of The Kriegsmarine'

The A-5 in Bulgaria has been outside for many years and has suffered as a result. The cover over the aft cockpit area is a modern addition to stop birds nesting inside (George Papailianou)

The A-5 stored by the National Air and Space Museum is very complete, it has just suffered from being in store for many decades, as can be seen in this shot of it when it was in the Silver Hill storage facility. It is now in the new Dulles facility and rumour has it that it will be the next Luftwaffe aircraft to be restored once the He 219 is finished (Robert Mikesh)
