INLEDNING
Detta arbete har sammanställts efter forskning i olika Flygstyrelsens, Flygstabens, Flygförvaltningens, Marinförvaltningens oh Signalregements arkiv på Krigsarkivet i Stockholm. Tyvärr saknas en el del uppgifter, speciellt vad gäller Arméflygets flyplan. Relevanta handlingar har inte återfunnits och kan vara kasserade. Problemen inbjuder emellertid till fortsatt forskning. Säkert har också här och där fel smugit sig in. Författaren är därför tacksam för rättelser och tillägg.
( ... ) Svensk militärfyg började 1911, när Marinen erhöll en Blériot XI byggd av Hjalmar Nyrop. Marinens flygväsende upprättades formellt den 30 juli 1915. Arméflyget började sin verksamhet i juli 1912 som Fälttelegrafkårens flygmaskinkompani ( Flygkompaniet ). Marinens och Arméns flyg sammanslogs slutligen till Kungliga Svenska Flygvapnet den 1 juli 1926.
INTRODUCTION
This work has been compiled after research in different Army, Navy and Air Force archives at Krigsarkivet, Stockholm. Unfortunately, some information is missing, especially concerning aircraft of the Army Aviation Service. The relevant documents have not been found and might have been disposed of. The problems should be taken as an invitation to continued research. Surely, there will also have slipped in some errors here and there. The author would be grateful for corrections and additions.
( ... ) Swedish military aviation began in 1911, when the Navy received a Blériot XI built by Hjalmar Nyrop. The Naval Aviation Service was formaly established on July 30th, 1915. Army aviation started in July 1912 as the Aviation Section of the Signal Corps. On June 1st, 1916 this became the Aircraft Company of the Signal Corps. The Naval and Army Components were finally merged into the Royal Swedish Air Force on July 1st, 1926, ( ... )

Lennart Andersson is a Swedish author who has published several books and many articles on civil and military aviation history. Recognised for his work, he has received many distinctions, grants and awards as well.
