The Tornado first flew in October 1939, but engine issues led to its cancellation. The Typhoon, delayed by Sabre development, flew in February 1940. Early Typhoon Ia and Ib models faced flight problems, including a tendency to veer right on takeoff and tail failures, yet their low-altitude speed and four 20mm cannon made them formidable. With engine and tail issues resolved, the Typhoon became a highly effective ground-attack aircraft over occupied Europe, excelling against airfields, shipping, and rail targets. Data: crew 1; span 12.59 m; length 9.93 m; speed 652 km/h; armament 4×20 mm cannon; power 2,180 hp.

More to read about the KIT here, thanks to scalemates, a Belgian Scale modeling database

https://aviation.brussels/products/maquette-a-monter-typhoon-mk-ib-w-tear-drop-canopy-hasegawa-n-09060-1-48
