The Su-25T introduced significant upgrades, including the Vikhr laser-guided missile system and Shkval targeting suite. The export-oriented Su-25TM (Su-39K) featured new R-195 engines, modern avionics, and a redesigned cockpit. Trainer and dual-seat variants included the Su-25UB, Su-25UBK (export), and the carrier-capable Su-25UTG\/UTK. In 2007, only eight aircraft were converted to the planned Su-25BM due to budget issues. The Su-25SM modernization added upgraded avionics, precision weapons capability, and extended service life.
