Description
Legendary fighter PZL P.11c was a development of the P.11 family designed by ing. Zygmunt Puławski. Together with its predecessor, P.7, it constituted the backbone of the Polish Air Force fighter units in the 1930s. During the German invasion of Poland in September 1939, the P.11c, although obsolete, was the only Polish fighter capable of opposing the Luftwaffe. Polish pilots, flying these slow and lightly armed machines, showed extraordinary courage in unequal combat against superior German fighters and bombers.
