The K-4, first and main production variant, featured the DB 605DCM engine, a broad-bladed VDM propeller, and aerodynamic improvements such as fully enclosed gear wells, a retractable tailwheel, and a redesigned Fo987B oil intake that added roughly 20 km/h to its top speed. Armed with a hub-mounted MK 108 and two MG 131s, the K-4 offered strong firepower against heavy bombers. Entering service with JG 27 in October 1944, it eventually equipped over 30 squadrons. Data: crew 1; span 9.02 m; length 9.92 m; top speed 670 km/h; range 645 km.

More to read about the KIT here, thanks to scalemates, a Belgian Scale modeling database

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/3015/9446/files/IMG_0867_edce2463-8ad8-49db-a6c0-19f7f317f9a2.JPG?v=1764839749
