Description
The F-8 Crusader was the U.S. Navy's first supersonic carrier-based fighter aircraft and the last American fighter plane to be designed with guns as its primary weapon. This kit depicts the F-8J variant, which was an upgrade of earlier F-8 models. The F-8J featured improved avionics, a new radar system, and enhanced ground attack capabilities. It served with distinction during the Vietnam War and remained in service with the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps until the mid-1970s.
