The F2H-2 was carrier-capable and served extensively during the Korean War, providing escort, ground attack, and reconnaissance missions. Its long range and reliable performance made it a favorite among naval aviators. The variant also led to several subtypes, including the F2H-2P photo-reconnaissance model.
